about the Adidas too, to the most...

Half Marathons in December by
Eskimobob
Hello all,
I'm thinking about traveling through the U.S. from early December for a
week and a half or two weeks on way to the U.K. The normal tourist stuff
is easy to find out about, but I am after some recommendations for
scenic half marathons or 10KM.
Hopefully there are some on where it...

I'm doing some running with my ten year old son. I'm not a skilled

# "Sprinters are born and not made.
So world class 100 meter sprinters do not have to train? They do not
need world class coaching to achieve their potential? They do not need
years of effort and practice to get anywhere near their potential?

BTW, I don't think either Courtney nor Whitfield were amongst the 4 best

Our team was smaller so they were good enough, but could they beat those

Glenn Davis, the #1 400 meter hurdler in '56 and '60 also ran on...

Sprinters running a mile... by

Awl --
100 m sprinters -- purely anaerobic, right?
Do you think any of them include distance running at all, for
"crosstraining" purposes? Distance = 1 mile.
Does anyone know what people capable of a 10 sec 100m would run a mile in?
How bout distance runners running the 100m?

Second wind, or what? by
E. A. Williams
I have experienced a second wind during a 7 mile race while running on a
quarter mile track. I felt as though I was laboring thru the entire
race, but I finished the last 200 yards at a blazing pace. Where did
that sudden burst of energy come from?

Second wind, or what? by
Michelle
I did four miles on the treadmill today at 5 MPH (12 min/mile). *At about
35 minutes, I felt a surge of energy; I don't know where it came from,
though.
I wasn't taking any carbs while running, just water with a NUUN tablet
dissolved in it. *Could it have been fat burning kicking in? *Could it...

6 runs for 59.1 miles (lots of climbs).
The week was great except for a poor choice of trying to run a 22 mi
trail race instead of a solo 18/20 mi run. Took a few spills just as
everyone else did, luckily not as...

Do you take goo on a 15 mile run? by

For longer runs I often take some sports drink rather than water - this
