No connection with the company etc etc, just pointing out what appears to be
a super deal for anyone that wants a spare tent for this year.

TR: Northern Arans 2-day backpack by
GeoffC[_2_]
A 2-day circuit of the Northern Arans following our familiar approach
up the northern ridge and circling around to Creiglyn Dyfi, and
returning via the very seldom trodden north ridge of Esgeiriau
Gwynion.
We missed the recent snowy conditions due to treacherous roads and one
thing or another,...

sandy saunders
13 to 20 Feb
After the four days in the Lake District, Clare headed back south to work ..
while I headed further north to the Highlands. The second part of my winter
adventure was about to begin, although it was more winter climbing than
winter walking.

Thorlo socks by
PeterC
Been looking at Thorlo socks as an alternative to Smartwool etc., as my
feet do tend to overheat.
Anyone have experience of these, please - what they're like re. blisters,
wet feet, durability etc?

OT - B&B in Kendal by
PeterC
Seriouly twitching towards a week in the ELD to see how I get on back on
the hills and to pick up some lower fells (AW's Outlying Fells).
I like the look of the area to the E of Shap (and might have a trudge on
the Howgills), so would like to be quite close to the centre of Kendal (a
mile or so)...
