Old map of Isle Of Skye by
Rodders[_2_]
I am trying to locate a map of the Dunvegan/Feorlig/Harlosh area of the Isle
of Skye circa 1930's. Does anyone know where I could purchase one or of any
site doing one?
Thanks
Rodders

We're booked into Low Manesty near Grange for a couple of

to fess up and recommend any other good van sites in the Lakes
that we might patronise ? I promise not to tell anyone else ;-)
TIA

Noob GPS question by
Chris Macnamara
I am going on a couple of short trips soon, Barcelona and Padstow, Cornwall.
I'd like to do a bit of semi guided walking, and have been looking at the
Garmin etrex Venture HC, and note that I can somehow overlay routes
(tracks?) recorded by others so as to have a more productive wander.
Trouble...

Dave[_13_]
Does anyone have any information about a walk that happened on 23rd August -
it was based around Robin Hoods Bay and was 24 miles long.
I heard about it after the event but that is all the info I have but
apparently it happens every year.
Just thinking about the possibility for next year if I...

Lakeland Queries by
sandy saunders
Off to The Lakes for 2 weeks on Saturday, and in the process of finalising a
selection of routes. I have a couple of queries as follows, and hope some
of you Lakeland experts could help:
1. One route is over Loadpot Hill from just south of Pooley Bridge. First
question: are car parking...

Scary or what! by
sandy saunders
Yes, some time ago there was postings about the infamous path 'Camino del
Rey' in Andalucia, southern Spain, with a video clip on YouTube. Well, now
there is a serious rival in China, and in my opinion far worse! Take a look
at the following, one a short YouTube clip, and further down the page...

Wildly erratic altitude data? by
Terry Pinnell
I recorded a circular walk yesterday (around Bewl Water in East
Sussex, UK) with my QStarz Bluetooth GPS unit plus iPAQ 2210 Pocket
PC. With the trackpoints on my PC I did a little editing in GPS
Utility (version 4.94) to remove the spurious signals that arose
during the 15 minutes for coffee in...

Dreary Harting Down by
sandy saunders
Yes, a little dreary on the South Downs for my walk today. Started out at
7am from Harting Down car park with low clouds and fine drizzle, but light
enough to walk without a jacket. Made my way south to Hooksway, then across
paths to Stapleash Down and on to Colworth Down. Rain had stopped...
