Boston Marathon PodCast on the Run

It's funny...I was at mile 22 of Boston a few years ago, and another runner
ran up to me to give me a hard time about wearing an MP3 player on my arm.
She didn't notice that I wore no "earbuds".

"What's with the iPod?" she asked.

"I'm recording my podcast" I told her.

She gave me this weird look and said "Hmm...well, you have fun with that",
and ran off disgusted that she couldn't attack me for listening to music.

I wasn't even thinking about the MP3 recorder...I had my mind on finishing
strong.

Too funny.

Did this say anything about players/earpods?
They can just put a mike on & let the runner talk/gasp/etc. as he goes.
He doesn't need a player to do that.
