It's pouring rain here today, wife and I were walking out the door for
today's ride when the bottom feel out.

May have to setup my Volare Trainer again this year.

"Omelet"
An indoor setup is always good for bad weather, or you can just do a
bunch of body weight exercises.

The traner goes on my bike wheels.

I dare you to try a bunch of standing deep lunges. If you use the back
leg properly (only for support, not lifting), it's like doing deep one
leg squats.

I have "Football" knees. I can't do much with my knees. When I try lunges it
hurts like hell but my wife dows them.

"Omelet"

I'll ask Dr. Perry next time I see him (if I remember g) if there are
any good hip exercises for someone with bad knees.

Funny you can ride a bike with bad knees!

I do 100 mile rides with just 25 mile stops all the time but I can't stand
and ride.

Had a great leg day today. Butt sure is sore.

My workout buddy is back and it helps to have someone to workout with.

Looking forward to Friday. Doctor tomorrow morning.

Man is it raining.

Sounds good. Be careful not to do anything stupid in the rain!

Yer hardly wimpy Burr. ;-)

Except you've reduced the weight by trailing one leg :-)

I like to find ways of incorporating exercise opportunistically into
my daily routine. I'm much more likely to do that kind of
exercise. Each morning I take my wife a cup of tea in bed, which means
going up stairs with it. The stairs are old and a bit larger than
modern steps. So now I go up them three at a time, and drop right down
to full knee bend on the leading leg on each step. Then I stand up on
that leg carefully without spilling the cup of tea.

I can only do a very few steps that way so far, so it seems to be a
usefully difficult exercise.
