Thanks for campsite and pub info it's just a matter of choosing between the
two sites mentioned now I think.

Next comes deciding the best start point for doing Ben Lomond, originally I
had thought of a round starting from near the Rowardennan Hotel on the
eastern shore of Loch Lomond as im not bothered about a drive to the start
point of the walk I still might do it from there, but I would appreciate any
suggestions of best circulars.


Butterfield says that the slopes and ridges approaced along Gleann
Dubh via Comer are steeper but the solitude is worth it. If you are
happy making your own way rather than following tracks this way has
much to recomend it despite being essentially an out and back. If
otherwise stick to the tourist route.
