Default Longest possible walk

Biggest problem with a land journey of any length is the prescence of
rivers, let alone lakes. I doubt there are nice convenient bridges .....
Suppose one could always do what that guy did in the London marathon and
wear a diving suit ....

Not very far, if you take the curvature of the earth into account.

Even when ther eis a road the bridges may be shot in Eastern Russia.
Disd anybody see the Charley Borman and Ewan McGregor Long Way Round?
They ended up using serious off road capable trucks to cross the
Siberian Rivers.

Even in the UK you can be stymied by lack of bridges. Nick Crane used
a boat a few times on his Two Degrees West where he restricted himself
to one kilometre either side of the line of longitude and he had
"help" to cross otherwise insurmountable no go areas.
